Sergen Tut

Youth Programs Coordinator

Sergen Tut is the Youth Programs Coordinator, supporting the expansion of Generous Listening among young people and leading the coordination of university-based implementations. He plays an active role in the planning, implementation, and sustainability of Generous Listening groups carried out at universities and in spaces where young people are actively present.

Within his role, he develops partnerships with universities, student communities, and youth-focused institutions; coordinates field implementation processes of the programs; and facilitates young people coming together in safe, inclusive, and supportive spaces. He also contributes to strategic planning processes aimed at increasing both the quality and reach of group work conducted with young people.

Prior to his role at V Foundation, Sergen worked with individuals with special needs, took part in psychosocial support activities in disaster-affected areas, and provided trauma-focused individual psychological counseling. These experiences have shaped his approach to working with young people—particularly in times of crisis and uncertainty—centering on understanding their needs and building safe spaces.

He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the International Cyprus University. In his professional practice, he is grounded in a trauma-informed approach, inclusive group work, and listening practices that center young people’s subjective experiences.
