Merve Çağlar, as the director of the Vuslat Foundation, leads pioneering initiatives that promote generous listening and cultural understanding. Her strategic vision is instrumental in guiding the foundation towards fostering sustainable change, both locally and globally. Merve’s innovative approach in orchestrating programs and collaborations significantly elevates the foundation’s impact, marking her as a key figure in driving transformative initiatives.

Before her tenure at the Vuslat Foundation, Merve established a notable career in the art world. Her journey began in 2005 at Galerist, where she excelled as the gallery director and founding editor of Galerist Gazete (later known as ArtUnlimited). Her commitment to contemporary art continued as the director of the SAHA Association, an organization she was deeply involved in from the start. Merve further extended her influence in the art community as a managing partner at Galeri Nev Istanbul from May 2019, providing expert advice to various institutions and private collectors.

Merve graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Design from Bilkent University.
