Ali Sabancı is a notable member of the Vuslat Foundation’s board, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership from various sectors. He plays significant roles within the Esas Holding framework, serving as a Board Member of Pegasus Airlines, Vice Chairperson of Mars Sportif, and a board member of Esas Properties, all of which are entities within the Esas Private Equity portfolio.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Ali is deeply involved in fostering social entrepreneurship and innovation in Türkiye. As a co-founder of Esas Social, he is dedicated to enabling sustainable social investments. His role as the president of the Young Entrepreneurs Board at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) has seen him spearhead pivotal projects such as the Angel Investing Legislation, the Global Entrepreneurship Congress, the G3 Forum, the Global Entrepreneurship Week, and TIM Innovation Week – Born Global. His commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship extends to his personal investments, being an angel investor in over 25 start-up companies.
Ali’s contributions to the business community are further recognized through his memberships in the Turkish American Business Association and the Turkish Family Business Association. His efforts in enhancing Türkiye-France economic relations were honored in 2018 when he received the prestigious Légion d’Honneur from the French government.
Ali holds an M.B.A. degree with a major in International Finance from Columbia Business School and a B.A. degree in Politics and Economics from Tufts University.
